Desh Bhagat College, Bardwal (Dhuri), Bardwal was established in 1982 with the blessing of Sant Baba Ranjit Singh Ji Mullowal. The College caters to the needs of the students from around 50 villages of Sangrur district. The college imparts education in the field of Computer Science, Commerce, Management, Science and Humanities. The College offers 11 undergraduate, 08 post graduate courses and one Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications Course. About 2500 students including 1200 girls are receiving education from the college. The library of the College has good collection of reference books, national and international Journals, Encyclopedia, Biographies, newspapers and magazines in Punjabi, English and Hindi Languages. The library provides an access to e-journals and e-books with INFLIBNET. NCC, NSS units, youth club, co-curricular activities and sports contribute towards overall development of the student. The college magazine "Erudite" provides platform for the creative skills of the students and the International journal "Insight" is published to develop research skills of the teachers. Punjabi University, Patiala has opened Distant Library Center in the College for the students of correspondence courses, Punjabi University, Patiala.
